Top 10 Grammy Snubs

The 58th Grammy Awards are almost here and you could cut the tension with a knife! Just kidding, Hollywood and the music industry can't be that serious about awards and validation can they? (Insert sarcasm here).

The categories are packed to the gills with some incredible talent this year. Taylor Swift and The Weeknd are tied in the nomination game with 7 noms each, Kendrick Lamar snagged an incredible 11 noms, and if we're being honest, it could be anyone's game.

All of these potential winners got us wondering about big stars who have never won a Grammy. After some heavy investigation, some of pop's mega stars, to rock geniuses have unfortunately never been recognized by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.

1.) Katy Perry
It's crazy to think that this pop star doesn't have a single gramophone to call her own. Perry's "Teenage Dream" produced a record-breaking five #1 hits. However, the competition has been tough for Perry, who was up against Adele in 2009, 2012 and 2013.

2.) Snoop Dog
Snoop currently ties as artist with the most nominations under his belt, without one win. This year, he is up for the 17th time, featured on Kendrick Lamar's Album of the Year, "To Pimp a Butterfly." Let's hope Snoop breaks this streak -- he's earned it!

3.) Brian McKnight
You could call Brian R&B's Susan Lucci, since the singer is right behind Snoop for being nominated the ost without ever being awarded. You'd think with a song like "Favorites" back in 1999 would have won him the gold, but nope.

4.) Björk
Björk is as quirky as they come and has been nominated 14 times, and still has yet to win. She is nominated this year for Best Alternative Music album; however, she has lost 4 times in that category before. But you know what they say, fifth time is the charm!

5.) Busta Rhymes
Busta, how is this possible? The late 90s were Busta Rhymes' golden time, but he didn't manage to have any luck with hits like "Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See Them" or "Dangerous." This is a straight up travesty.

Pitbull's New Year's Eve Revolution 2015
6.) Nicki Minaj
Another pop mega star, Nicki Minaj isn't a Grammy favorite. She's had super hits like "Super Bass" and "Bang Bang," but they haven't been enough to edge out other winners. However, Nicki is up for three categories this year including Best Rap Album for "The Pinkprint," so lets keep our fingers crossed!

7.) Tupac Shakur
Tupac was one of the most prolific and revolutionary rappers of his time. However, he was nominated 7 times and walked away empty-handed each time.

8.) Guns N' Roses
Three! That's the number of times hit band Guns N' Roses has been nominated. While it is a shame that there haven't been any additional noms or wins in their book, they are going out on tour again and making every fan rock out until that time comes!

9.) Justin Bieber
The Biebs has also only been nominated three times. While it is sad, it's safe to say he's got quite a few years ahead of him. Heck, maybe this will be his year: He is nominated for Best Dance Recording for "Where Are Ü Now."

Power 96.1's Jingle Ball 2015
10.) Kiss
Not even their insanely long tongues could win over Grammy voters. Kiss was only nominated once in their career, back in 1999 for Best Hard Rock Performance with "Psycho Circus."

Gene Simmons (L) and Tommy Thayer of the
11.) Spice Girls
"Tell me what you want, want you really, really want." A Grammy nom! The Spice Girls just wanted a Grammy nom! While they actually never received one nomination, the will always have a special place in our hearts.

It's certainly a sad occasion that these artists haven't won a Grammy, it's safe to say they've definitely cemented themselves in the pop culture zeitgeist!
