Shopper Survives 60-Foot Fall In Department Store After Landing On Bed

A shopping trip on Monday resulted in a harrowing experience for a British woman and bystanders.

According to reports, the 60-year-old female reportedly fell from an upper level balcony at a John Lewis store in Greater Manchester and plunged 60 feet below.

Miraculously, she is believed to have landed on a bed which likely cushioned the impact of her fall and mitigated the extent of her bodily harm.

The incident happened in the presence of staff and other shoppers.

The victim was taken to the hospital, reportedly with injuries to her hip and spine. Nevertheless, she is expected to survive.

According to officials from John Lewis, the store was closed immediately, and they are working with police during the investigation.
