A Giant Rabbit Up For Adoption In Scotland

Most of the time, when shelters and associations seek permanent living arrangements for one of their animals, a cat or a dog is involved.

However, the Scottish SPCA of Glasgow is looking for someone to take in a giant rabbit.

His name is Atlas, and at only 7 months of age, he's already about the size of a grown terrier.

It is unknown how much larger the continental giant rabbit will get, but others of his kind have ended up weighing as much as 50 pounds.

Not surprisingly, personnel at the Glasgow center are looking for an adopter who has previous experience with the breed.

They also specify that ownership of a larger than usual hutch is desirable.
