With special help from Beyonce and Bruno Mars, Coldplay delivered an inspiring halftime show performance at Sunday's Super Bowl 50.

The colorful performance began with Chris Martin kneeling down as the on-field crowd sprinted by him in all black towards the stage while he sang the first few verses from "Yellow."

As the audience jumped around him on a stage filled with moving graphics, Martin led Coldplay in a series of their most recognizable hits like "Viva La Vida," "Paradise" and "Adventure of a Lifetime."

Suddenly, the opening beats of Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars' world-conquering jam "Uptown Funk" glared from the speakers and the two stars joined the stage -- Ronson behind the DJ booth and Mars clad in all black and surrounding by some backup dancers.

Then, in perhaps the most anticipated moment of the halftime show, Beyonce blessed the field with her presence and sang her new surprise hit "Formation." With what has become some of her signature choreography, Beyonce slayed her way through some visually-stunning group dance moves before joining Mars and Martin on stage to join in on a mashup of sorts of "Formation," "Uptown Funk" and her hit "Crazy In Love."

Mars and Beyonce momentarily then left the stage as Martin sat down at the piano and sang "Fix You" as footage from iconic halftime shows of years past appeared on the screen -- Michael Jackson, Katy Perry, Beyonce, Madonna, and the Black Eyes Peas, among many others.

For an uplifting finale, Beyonce and Mars rejoined Martin, Coldplay and a crowd full of children on stage for a group rendition of Coldplay's "Up & Up."

It was an inspired, positive and phenomenal halftime show that will surely be remembered for years to come.
