Dubai will soon have one of the world's highest infinity pools

A new hotel in Dubai is planning to take the poolside view to another level.

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has announced that it will build The St. Regis Dubai, The Palm in the 52-story-tall Palm Tower building.

One of the centerpieces of the property will be an infinity pool on the 50th floor which will provide guests with a 360-degree panorama of the city including the skyline, the Arabian Gulf, and the Palm Jumeirah.

In fact, at nearly 700 feet up, it will be among the highest infinity pools in the world.

Overall, a mixture of guest rooms and apartments will be offered; there are also plans to build a restaurant with city-wide views on the 51st floor.

The opening is targeted for July 2018.
