Dedicated Zookeeper Saves Ostrich from Freezing Water

When an ostrich wanders into water, a dedicated zookeeper goes in after her!

When people went to the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium recently they were treated to an impromptu show: Which zookeeper loved his job enough to rescue an ostrich?!

The animal ended up in the freezing water of a moat that was intended to keep her INSIDE the zoo.

See how the rescue unfolded in the gallery below:

Video shows huge chunks of ice floating in the water, leaving many to believe that nobody would jump inside for the rescue.

Zookeepers first tried to coax the ostrich with sticks, but that didn't work. So one man decided to take a dip and finish the job! Kudos to that brave soul.
