Boy Battling Cancer Realizes Dream of Becoming Army K-9 Handler

KTLA -- A 9-year-old boy who may never realize his dream of growing up to become a K-9 dog handler for the United States Army had his wish come true recently thanks to members of the military in the Antelope Valley.

George Rios is battling terminal cancer. In December, George was sworn in as an Army K-9 dog handler at a ceremony organized by local military recruiter SFC Armondo Delgado, a news release from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
