Mariah Carey and James Packer walk first red carpet since getting engaged
Mariah Carey and her new fiancé, Australian business mogul James Packer, stole the red carpet spotlight on Thursday.
It was the first public appearance for the pop diva and her billionaire beau since he popped the question one week ago, and the couple couldn't have looked happier.

The cute couple was all smiles and love while walking the red carpet outside the G'Day USA Black-Tie Gala at Vibiana in Los Angeles. Packer, 48, kept things classy in a traditional tux while Carey, 45, shimmered like the night sky in a sparkling black gown.
Although nothing on the red carpet shined as brightly as the massive 35-carat engagement ring that weighed down Carey's hand. Seriously, that stunning sparkler looks heavy!

Carey made sure to minimize her number of accessories so she could maximize the impact of the jaw-dropping gem.
Packer popped the question to Carey on Jan. 21 after less than a year of dating. Days later, the couple signed a $250,000-per-month lease on a mansion in a gated community called The Oaks in Calabasas, California. Check out the video below for more on the newly-engaged power couple.
