Federal authorities: 56 gang members arrested in Boston area
BOSTON (AP) — Federal authorities say they have rounded up 56 gang members during a series of overnight raids in and around Boston.
U.S. Attorney Carmen Ortiz has scheduled a news conference for Friday morning to discuss the arrests. Other federal, state and local law enforcement officials are expected to attend.
The suspects face racketeering, drug trafficking and gun charges.
No other details were immediately available.
