Joseph Fiennes has been cast to play Michael Jackson in a new British made-for-TV movie, chronicling a fabled road trip that the King of Pop took with Elizabeth Taylor and Marlon Brando following the 9/11 terror attacks in 2001.

The one-off Sky Arts special will also star Stockard Channing as Taylor and Brian Cox as Brando, according to the Guardian.

The unbelievable story of the three entertainment icons hitting the open road was based on a disputed report that was published by Vanity Fair in 2011, wherein they all rented a car fled New York westward following the attacks. Unable to fly, they were hoping to make it home to California and made it as far as Ohio.

Fiennes is a white British actor best known for his role in 1998's Shakespeare in Love, as well as more recent roles in Hercules and American Horror Story.
