OnlyOnAOL: January Jones is 'adventurous and likes to try things'

Betty Draper, from AMC's "Mad Men," could generously be called a handful.

January Jones, who played her, is quite the opposite, reports her makeup artist Lauren Andersen.

"She is the coolest girl ever. I met her years ago. She's super-chill and down to earth," says Andersen, who did Jones for the Critics Choice awards. "She's wearing a super-pretty icy blue Altuzarra dress. We decided to go for a smoky eye. We kept the skin smooth. We kept a neutral lip. She wanted a cool-girl updo."

Glamming up Jones, who co-stars on "Last Man on Earth," is like hanging with a sports buddy. "It's like going to a friend's house. She has the game on. She lets you be creative. We walk it through but come to a consus together. It's easy. We tell funny stories," says Andersen. "She's adventurous and likes to try things. She likes something to pop."

Usually, that means a good brow.
