Winning an Academy Award is a big deal -- but not everyone likes to put their awards on display.

Take Emma Thompson, Kate Winslet and Jodie Foster, who have all kept their Oscars near the toilet.

Foster had the best explanation, telling InStyle she placed hers in the bathroom "because they looked good with the faucets."

Rumor has it she also keeps her People's Choice Award in the cupboard because it matches her glassware.

Russell Crowe reportedly keeps his award in a chicken coop on his Australian ranch -- to inspire them to grow larger eggs.

Meanwhile, Cate Blanchett's Oscars for "Aviator" is a bit of a nomad. According to InStyle, she said, "It's been in the study recently. It moves around a bit like my family and I do."

And Timothy Hutton once shared that his sister put his statue in the fridge during a party as a gag ... and he left it there.
