Dear reader, you already know of my abundant admiration for Brie Larson. Her film, "Room," is anchored by her performance as a mother who is devoted and defiant, fierce and frail, despondent and utterly dedicated. She's all those things to a little boy born and raised in a tiny shed, the product of rape.

It's fitting that Larson just went home with a best dramatic actress Golden Globe for "Room," the kind of movie that leaves you feeling gut-punched but also inspired. And lest we jinx anything, she's now the one to beat come Oscar night on February 28.

Larson wore a gold Calvin Klein frock to the ceremony, and she seemed to just -- glow.

Her talent is all hers. But her glam: that's due to her longtime guru, Chanel celebrity makeup artist Rachel Goodwin. She wanted to give Larson a natural, healthy glow (check!) and radiance (check!). "Cybill Shepherd and Jessica Lange in the '70s were two of my inspirations; I love that subtle glamour," said Goodwin in a statement.
