We love being ahead of the game and knowing which trends to shop for, before they actually become mainstream. And for that, we look to fashion guru Lauren Conrad. This month, LC divulged all the trends that are sure to hit it big this year.

Slip dress

According to her post on Who What Wear, Lauren believes a great way to feel sexy this year, is by slipping into a slinky slip dress. Plus, they're so easy to dress up or dress down. It's a silhouette that's been on our radar for a few months now, and LC confirms that it's bound to get even more popular throughout the year. For this, we love the Cami Slip Dress from ASOS.

Bell sleeves

Lauren recommends rocking these with shorts, pencil skirts or a great pair of jeans. To get this look, we have our eye on the Marysol Lace Bell Sleeve Top by Ella Moss, available at Nordstrom.

You might have noticed the fashion world preaching that metallics are totally in this year, but Lauren takes this one step further by predicting a rise in mixed metallics. So whether you wear it on your nails, your handbag, or your dress, don't be afraid to subtly mix and match those high-shine pieces. This Rebecca Minkoff Micro Moto Satchel from Zappos would is super chic and easy to match with other metallics.

Flat mules

Lauren suggests sliding these on with cuffed or cropped jeans for an instant cool. Try these enviable Rag & Bone Sabine Loafers on for size, via Shopbop.

Maxi dress

This year these dresses will have a romantic, flowy spin, that you'll be able to style and recycle all summer long. We adore this lovely Print Pleat Chiffon Maxi Dress from Eliza J, available at Nordstrom.
