He's just a big softie!

Sylvester Stallone headed to the 73rd Golden Globes, hosted by Ricky Gervais, with his wife Jennifer Flavin and his three daughters, Sistine, Sophia and Scarlet by his side on Sunday and when the 69-year-old actor snagged his Golden Globe Award, he nearly broke down.

"I'll try to not get emotional," said Stallone when he got up on stage to accept the award for Best Supporting Actor for "Creed" amid a standing ovation.

The longtime actor rattled off several names -- from his co-stars to his agents -- but when he got to his family he got a bit choked up.

"Having your love is the greatest award in the world," Stallone said to his wife and daughters. The four were sitting in the audience looking lovingly at their champ.

Then Sly thanked one more very important person, his alter-ego Rocky Balboa. "I want to thank my imaginary friend Rocky Balboa for being the best friend I ever had."

Stallone, hadn't been nominated for a Golden Globe Award since 1977 when he received a nod for "Rocky."

It was fitting that he thanked his family at the show, since his daughters nearly stole the spotlight from him on the red carpet. The girls, wore a dazzling mix of both light and dark numbers, which perfectly complemented their proud pop's classic tux. It's clear that all three are growing up to be stunning girls just like their mother.

What a night for the Stallone family.
