Kim Howe was killed in a multi-vehicle crash after her Lexus was pushed into oncoming traffic. Officials determined Howe had hit her brakes after a Prius driven by Steindorff stopped in front of her for unknown reasons. Jenner rear-ended Howe, causing her to swerve into oncoming traffic.

Jenner has also been sued by the adult stepchildren of Howe and by the Wolf-Millesi family, who say they were driving in their H2 Hummer when the Lexus struck by Jenner's Cadillac Escalade slammed into their vehicle head-on.
