University Of South Dakota Brags In Billboard: Misspells Billboard

This bragging billboard proves modesty is always the best policy.

After Forbes Magazine named the University of South Dakota the best in all of the Dakotas, the university put up a billboard which made some question the quality of higher education in the Dakotas.

The billboard along Interstate 90 west of Sioux Falls has a misplaced apostrophe in the word "Dakotas," making the word possessive rather than plural.

A USD spokeswoman says the mistake was human error -- the wrong version of a design was sent to the billboard company. The billboard is now being replaced.
