World's Luckiest Koala Escapes A Fiery Fate

A koala escaped an almost certain death after being found and rescued by firefighters combating raging bushfires in Victoria, Australia.

The lucky marsupial was discovered unresponsive on the side of a road near the popular destination town of Lorne on December 26th.

She was then taken to the local fire station where Victoria police officers fed her water and gum leaves by hand.

After regaining her strength, the koala was nicknamed "Constable K. Bear" and is said to be doing much better now.

Local wildlife personnel are currently preparing for a rush of animals escaping the blaze.
