Crowds flock to Brooklyn for annual Christmas lights display

Look out, Rockefeller Center. The best spot for Christmas lights viewing may actually be a little further south.

One of the most culturally and ethnically diverse areas in the nation, Brooklyn hosts numerous neighborhoods where Christmas tree lights are a tourist attraction of their own. Hundreds of cars and pedestrians arrive daily to pack the streets and stand in awe of the lavishly decorated homes.

The Dyker Heights neighborhood has quickly become one of the most popular areas for Christmas lights viewing, boasting extravagant homes with larger-than-life-sized figurines, intricate holiday scenes and thousands upon thousands of lights.
