The Most Searched Cookie Recipes by State

BY: BUZZ60

If there's one thing about Americans, we take our dessert very seriously. Chocolate chip, peanut butter and sugar cookies might be classic favorites, but which cookie is unique to your state?

The people at Yummly.com used a really fancy food intelligence technology to determine which cookie recipe is viewed the most in one state versus any other.

Props to Arkansas which searched the most for the Pecan Pie Bar. Things must get loopy in Florida and Kentucky where Rum and Bourbon Cookies were a big hit!

Michigan natives love their cherries, they came in as the state who searched the most for the Chocolate Cherry Cookie. Mississippi loves the Chess Square, New Yorkers are partial to a Rainbow Cookie, and Texans have south of the border on their minds with the Mexican Wedding Cookie.

Some states were a little more obscure with their searches, like California and the Persimmon Cookie, Massachusetts and the Anise cookie, Illinois and the Kolache, and Minnesota's Sprtiz Cookie -- which makes sense because the recipe originated from Northern Europe and Minnesota has Scandivian roots.

Which treats does your state love the most? Check out the gallery below to find out!
