Report: Coldplay to Headline Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show

It's official! Coldplay is headlining the Super Bowl 50 halftime show, and the British rockers are giving us a behind-the-scenes look as they prepare to take the stage for TV's most-watched event.

"Now that you mention it, now I'm really, really nervous," Chris Martin admits in a minute-long video released Thursday following the announcement.

In it, we get a rare look at the Coldplay frontman and his bandmates -- guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman and drummer Will Champion – in meetings about their wardrobe, the colorful stage design and the songs they'll be performing.

Though we'll all have to wait until February to see the final product, there is a brief glimpse of the band's proposed LED stage, which looks to feature one main platform that branches out into four smaller ones.

"Today, it's about how do we stage our special guests. Yesterday, what I was nervous about, it was all about the set list," the band's childhood friend and artistic director Phil Harvey says in the video.

For Coldplay, who have performed on every big stage imaginable, the Super Bowl is the pinnacle of the band's career.

"Are you kidding me? It's the greatest moment of our band's life. We're going to give it everything we have," Martin promises.
