New York Giants safety Nat Berhe hails from San Bernadino, Calif., miles away from Wednesday's horrific mass shooting at a nonprofit organization for people with disabilities. On Thursday, the 24-year-old sent messages on Twitter, revealing that his cousin was one of the 14 people killed.

The defensive back was drafted in the fifth round by the Giants in 2014 out of San Diego State. He's currently on the season-ending IR after suffering a calf injury in training camp that required surgery to remove a blood clot.

The shooting occurred at a holiday party for county health workers. Seventeen people were injured in addition to the 14 left dead.
