Kobe Bryant signed his retirement letter for Metta World Peace
Kobe Bryant shocked the NBA community by announcing he would be retiring at the end of the season. A copy of the retirement letter will be given to every fan who attends the Los Angeles Lakers game on Sunday night.
What makes it crazier is that some fans were unaware of the news before getting the letter, which came in a black envelope.
Metta World Peace got Kobe Bryant to sign his copy of the letter.
It is reminiscent of Peyton Manning's long-standing tradition of writing hand-written notes to players as they retired. Of course this is in reverse, Bryant signing a note about his retirement for another player.
It doesn't make the gesture any less cool, and it is kind of interesting to see how it impacted World Peace.
