'The American Music Awards': Meghan Trainor & Charlie Puth Perform "Marvin Gaye

Meghan Trainor and Charlie Puth took the lyrics to "Marvin Gaye" quite literally on stage at the 2015 American Music Awards Sunday night when they shared what seemed like a rather passionate kiss at the end of their performance.

The "All About That Bass" singer first took the stage to perform "Like I'm Gonna Lose You," and Charlie soon emerged for their duet, "Marvin Gaye." That's when it all happened.

If you don't believe us, see for yourself:

Charlie started the duet at the piano, but it wasn't long until he and Meghan approached each other for their unexpected kiss in front of the star-studded crowd.

Even Luke Bryan wasn't over the surprising smooch when he accepted his award for Favorite Male Country Artist soon after.

This isn't the first time that Meghan and Charlie have kissed, though. Meghan had her first on-screen kiss with Charlie for the "Marvin Gaye" music video -- and she called it "so awkward."

Both singers have since commented on the kiss, insisting that they are not dating.

What did you think of Meghan and Charlie locking lips Sunday? Did it last a little too long, or are you already wishing they were an item?
