How to Pull Off Faux Freckles

If you've ever gawked at your freckled friends wishing you had gorgeous little sun kisses on your own face, then you'll be pleased to know that one Kickstarter campaign is working hard to make your dream a reality, because well, they get it -- freckles are sexy.

Freck Yourself lets you actually apply realistic-looking freckles on your face or body using a stencil formula method. Intrigued? It gets better. Apparently, the more you use the product, the more the spots will fade onto your skin -- but they typically last 48 hours.

Freck Yourself founder Remi Brixton (pictured below with her faux freckles), recently told Mashable, "we want to give people the option to have freckles forever, but not forever to the point that they get them tattooed."

And believe it or not, the application process is relatively easy.

  • Arrange your stencils

  • Press in place

  • Apply formula

  • Reveal your freckles

According to the companies Kickstarter page, that's all there is to it! The kit comes with 72 self-adhesive stencils and a rollerball of formula similar to sunless tanner. And once they get things up and running, they don't plan on stopping anytime soon.

We also plan to launch an aesrosol Freck Spray that will allow you to freely apply frecks to your shoulders, arms - anywhere. Standing up for non-freckled ladies everywhere -- way to go Freck Yourself!
