Suarez says Messi looks sharp ahead of the 'clasico'
MADRID (AP) — Barcelona striker Luis Suarez says Lionel Messi appears to be ready to play this weekend's "clasico" against Real Madrid.
Suarez says Messi has "looked good" in training but it remains unclear if doctors will clear the Argentine playmaker for Sunday's match at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.
Messi returned to training this week, nearly two months after tearing a ligament in his left knee in a Spanish league game.
Suarez also said Wednesday that playing the "clasico" between Barcelona and Real Madrid is every player's dream.
