Cardinals guard Mike Iupati was down on the turf for a long time after trying to block Kam Chancellor

Arizona Cardinals guard Mike Iupati was trying to block Seattle Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor on a running play early in the second quarter of their Sunday Night Football meeting. A violent collision ensued and Iupati went down to the ground immediately, where he stayed for several minutes:

You can see Iupati be somewhat caught off guard by Chancellor and not being in the best position when the collision occurred. The Cardinals guard ducks his head before going to the ground, which only makes the scene after even more unsettling.

Iupati laid on the ground without much movement for quite a while as a host of trainers, doctors, and coaches gathered around. The normally boisterous CenturyLink Field crowd went silent as the players all around looked on with looks of concern on their faces.

Iupati's facemask was taken off as an ambulance was driven on the field. The guard was then stretchered and loaded into the ambulance before being taken off of the field.

The scene was all to familiar of another game involving the Seahawks when Seattle receiver Ricardo Lockette was the victim of a big hit and suffered a severe neck injury that required surgery and now a long recovery.

Thoughts and prayers with Iupati after this scary incident.
