Viewers had even more reason to watch ABC's TGIT Thursday night when a new "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" teaser aired during the lineup that boasts "Grey's Anatomy," "Scandal" and "How to Get Away With Murder."

The minute-long clip on the Disney-owned networks shows Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Finn (John Boyega) meeting for the first time — "I don't know your name," she tells him — along with Rey and Han Solo together as Harrison Ford makes his historic return to the franchise by handing her a blaster.

"Nothing will stand in our way ... I will show them the Dark Side," Adam Driver's imposing Kylo Ren later pledges.

Those wanting action got glimpses of aerial fights between Imperial Tie Fighters and the Millennium Falcon, along with the inevitable flashing lightsabers.

Fans of iconic sci-fi franchise also got a few fleeting and furry images of Wookiee warrior Chewbacca in the 60-second preview.

New robot that will be appearing in the upcoming "Star Wars" movies:

The special TV spot was introduced by writer/producer Shonda Rhimes, who told viewers: "A mentor who doesn't believe they know everything and doesn't think they are God is a more interesting mentor ... and a more reliable one."

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" will hit theaters around the world on Dec. 18.
