Psychologist: OSU Crash Suspect 'Acutely Psychotic'

STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) — A prosecutor wants a judge to seal the mental health records of a woman charged with driving a car into the Oklahoma State University homecoming parade, killing four people and injuring dozens.

A motion filed Friday by District Attorney Laura Austin Thomas says the defense attorney for Adacia Chambers appears to be trying to prejudice a potential jury pool by seeking media attention and discussing Chambers' mental health.

Thomas also criticized the defense for attaching to a motion a psychologist's report about the mental health and competency of Chambers, 25.

Both the defense and prosecution have requested a competency hearing for Chambers, who faces four counts of second-degree murder and 46 counts of assault and battery in connection with the Oct. 24 crash. She remains jailed on $1 million bond.
