When it comes to Brad Paisley's zingers .... nobody is safe.

Mere hours after Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani confirmed that they're officially dating, 2015 CMA Awards co-hosts Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood took aim at Shelton's recent divorce from Miranda Lambert in their opening monologue.

"Of course we can't forget the breakup that really rocked our world. The one that's on everybody's mind," Underwood teased to the audience. "Two people in this very room whom we all know and love."

The camera first panned to the audience and landed on Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy ...

"Kermit and Miss Piggy, We want you to know we love you both," Underwood said. "We want you to be happy."

Then Paisley quickly quipped, "On a completely, unrelated topic, howdy Blake."

And that's how it is done, folks. The cameras then quickly turned to Shelton, who smiled and laughed at their little joke. Shelton was not sitting with his new ladylove, but instead was flying solo. The cameras did not pan to Miranda, who was also in the audience at the 2015 CMAs.

After a big year of Hollywood breakups from Halle Berry to Olivier Martinez to Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner to Reba's recent split, Paisley and Underwood certainly had plenty of people to choose from, but since Shelton and Lambert were considered one of country music's hottest couples, it wasn't a huge surprise that Paisley jumped at the joke opportunity.

What did you think of the joke?
