"She's my firework," Perry, wearing a white gown with Clinton's campaign logo pinned on the front along with an American flag cape, added before the Democratic presidential candidate appeared onstage with her.

"Sometimes, it's important: You just have to roar about what you need to fight for," Clinton said.

Before Perry took the stage, former president Bill Clinton spoke to the Des Moines crowd in support of his wife's 2016 campaign.

"Great to be in Iowa with @HillaryClinton & be the warmup act for @KatyPerry #hillyes #roar," Bill Clinton later tweeted, captioning a photo of himself with Perry.
