Darth Vader Replaces Lenin Monument


Ukraine is going to the dark side.

A Soviet-era statue of Vladimir Lenin was transformed into a tribute to Darth Vader.

The city of Odessa recently passed a law banning Communist symbols, meaning Lenin needed to go. Instead, his head was turned into a helmet, and his coattails into a cape.

And, according to The New York Times, the dark lord's helmet serves as a Wi-Fi hotspot.

The best characters of the galaxy have already tried to take over the city.

A candidate named Darth Vader is running for mayor for the second time in a row.

But we would prefer to just see him on our big screens when The Force Awakens hits theaters in December.
