Being a world-famous polo player and perhaps the most photographed man in the world as the face of Ralph Lauren fragrances is no easy feat, but Nacho Figueras is as humble as they come.

"I very much believe that fame doesn't do anything. It shouldn't impact you in one way or another," Figueras admitted during an exclusive interview with AOL.

The 38-year-old heartthrob, who considers Ralph Lauren a great mentor and friend ever since he became a brand ambassador 15 years ago, revealed the man behind the namesake company isn't going away anytime soon after recently stepping down as CEO.

"I think he did a very smart thing. He's giving Stefan Larsson the CEO position to focus on the business side. And he will focus on what he loves the most, which is the design and creative part of it," the famous athlete said. "It's something that he's not going to let go. Anyone who knows Ralph knows that he's more active and passionate than anyone. If anything, we're going to see him more."

But playing polo and being a spokesperson for the iconic American brand is not the only thing that moves Nacho's needle, he's also very passionate about his many philanthropic endeavors. You wouldn't believe the famous royals he's rubbed shoulders with!

The renowned polo player has been a close pal of both Prince Harry and Prince William since 2007 after getting involved with Sentabale, a charity that helps orphan kids in Africa.

And of course we had to ask – which royal brother reigns supreme on the polo field?

"They are both great," Figueras laughed. "They're different. Prince Harry plays forward – he attacks. Prince William plays back – he's more of a defender. They both play very well in their own ways."

With nearly 30 years of experience on the polo field after starting out when he was just 9 years old, keeping the tradition of the sport alive has been a cause near and dear to Figueras' heart.

He played host of the sixth annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic at Will Rogers State Historic Park.

More than 5,000 spectators, including A-list celebs like Gwenyth Paltrow and January Jones, spent the afternoon sippin' champagne at the site of the only polo field left in Los Angeles.

Despite leading his team to victory at the annual soiree, it's just another day in the books for Figueras, who insisted he only sees himself as a polo player and not a model.

"It's very hard to see myself doing something else," Figueras dished.
