Did We Just Get A Preview of Adele's New Music?

The long wait for Adele fans may very well be over.

During a commercial break for "The X Factor" U.K. on Sunday, a mysterious 30-second ad played a snippet with accompanying lyrics of a song, for which the ad didn't mention the artist or title. But Adele's powerful vocals are unmistakable, so the bit has undoubtedly fueled the fires of Internet speculation on when her new music might drop.

"Hello, it's me," the lyrics read. "I was wondering / if after all these years / you'd like to meet me / To go over everything / They say that time's supposed to heal ya / But I ain't done much healing."

It has been almost five years since Adele released her Grammy-sweeping album "21," which sold a whopping 4.6 million copies in the U.K. and 11 million in the U.S. While rumors have swirled that her next, highly anticipated album will be released in November, her label, Sony Music Entertainment, has yet to confirm the date.

Further fueling speculation, later on Sunday, band One Republic, whose frontman Ryan Tedder frequently collaborates with Adele, tweeted simply, "Adele :)"

Adele's rep did not immediately respond to request for comment. Twitter accounts for "The X Factor" and Adele have also not commented on the possible preview.
