Strange odor leads to shocking discovery in a California house

A resident of a San Diego's East County neighborhood reported a "weird smell" coming from one of the houses in the area. According to NBC San Diego, the report lead to the discovery of two badly decomposed bodies. After the finding, the police opened an investigation with the homicide team that confirmed the two bodies were female and were found on a bed inside the residence. Due to the advanced levels of decomposition, the team was unable to define their age. Officials claimed that the bodies have been decomposing in the house for about a week.
