According to Los Angeles Daily News' Lakers beat reporter Mark Medina, Bryant left a Los Angeles Lakers preseason game at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas in the third quarter to go see his friend and former teammate.

"Crazy night. I'm told Lakers had two-hour delay on their flight amid Lamar Odom's situation," Medina tweeted. "Kobe and [Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak] among those who visited him."

Bryant's wife Vanessa also took to Instagram to say she was praying for Odom. "Prayers going out to @lamarodom and his family. Praying he gets through this. #LakerFam 💜💛 At the end of the day, he has a family and loved ones that care for him," she wrote. "People shouldn't be posting/reposting that he is deceased when it isn't true. Just imagine what his loved ones must feel like to receive such terrible news."

Metta World Peace, who also played with Odom on the Lakers from 2009 to 2011, was taken aback when he spoke with reporters about his friend.
