Tatiana Maslany is in negotiations to star in Lionsgate's "Stronger," the film about the Boston Marathon Bombing, an individual with knowledge of the project told TheWrap.

Jake Gyllenhaal is set star in the fact-based film directed by David Gordon Green.

The film will tell the story of Jeff Bauman, a survivor of the attack who lost both his legs. He was waiting for his girlfriend at the finish line when two bombs went off, injuring more than 260 people and killing three.

In 2016, she will star in two other movies, "Two Lovers and a Bear" and "The Other Half."

"Stronger" will be adapted from Bauman's memoir, and John Pollono wrote the script. David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman of Mandeville Films/TV are producing with Scott Silver.

There are several movies about the bombing in the works. Boston-bred Mark Wahlberg is set to produce a movie about the Boston Marathon bombing titled "Patriots' Day" for CBS Films. In November, 20th Century Fox picked up "Boston Strong," helmed by "Safe House" director Daniel Espinosa.
