Transgender teen brought to tears by mother's surprise

Meet Corey Maison, the 14-year-old transgender teen warming hearts all over the world.

As BuzzFeed News reports, Erica Maison, a mother of five from Michigan surprised her daughter Corey with her first dose of hormones. She explains that Corey had been waiting for these for over two and a half years, so finally being able to give them to her was a huge deal.

How heartwarming? Maison posted the video publicly to her Facebook and YouTube pages, aware that there was a chance for nasty comments, but knew that the positive would outshine any negativity.
