Genius Concealer Hacks Every Woman Needs to Know
Ladies, we all know how important our makeup is, right? Not only does it give us an extra little boost of confidence, but it makes us look more fab, more fun and more put together! Don't get us wrong, we're all naturally gorgeous (of course), but there's nothing wrong with adding a little oomph to what's already virtually perfect.

With that being said, what would you say your favorite makeup product is? Some may say they can't live without their lipstick, while others would say their blush is absolutely everything. But no matter what your make preference is, there's no denying that concealer isn't probably somewhere near the top of your list. Yes, foundation is awesome, helping us to look balanced and one-toned, but where would we actually be without our concealer? Not only does it hide things we don't necessarily want the world seeing -- cough: acne -- but it makes our under eyes appear lighter, our skin appear smoother and our wrinkles to (almost) disappear.

Yes, you can kind of say that concealer is a miracle product. But if you think concealers works magic, then you won't believe your eyes when you see these hacks! While you may think you have it all figured out when it comes to applying this product, we beg to differ. Thanks to the beauty guru's themselves at Cosmopolitan, we've got ten incredible concealer hacks that will change your life, and makeup routine.

1) Use foundation first, then apply your concealer.
You'll find that you don't need to use as much concealer.

2) Draw a triangle with the base under your eye and the point toward your cheek.
Conceals dark circles and instantly creates the illusion that your face is lifted.

3) Prime your eyelids with a dab of concealer before applying eyeshadow.
This helps it set and stick.

4) First use a green concealer, then cover the pimple with a concealer that matches your skin tone.
Green concealer is used to cancel out redness!

5) If you have a pimple on your chest or back, cover the spots with a concealer that matches your skin tone, then top with a translucent powder.
The concealer will hide it and the powder will prevent it from wearing off.

6) Have no concealer? Place a dot of liquid foundation on the area and wait a few minutes for it to set, then blend.

7) Use a concealer that's slightly lighter than your skin tone to line the inner v-shaped section of your eye, the middle section of your eyelid, and below your brow bone.

This gives you the appearance of well-rested eyes.

8) Dab an orange concealer over dark under-eye circles.
Cancels out the blue shadows that your under-eye circles give off.

9) Learn about different concealers and what they do.
Peach cancels out blue circles, green hides red blemishes, and yellow corrects uneven skin tones.

10) Hide puffy eyes with eye cream, highlighter, and concealer mixed.

Anastasia Brow Pencil

By this time we’ve all seen this quote floating around Instagram or Pinterest, ” Don’t let anyone with bad eyebrows tell you shit about life.” And just like any random Insta quote, truer words have never been spoken. If you want to keep handing out unsolicited advice to every friend, coworker, and hot dog vendor that comes your way, you best get those brows in check.

Bare Minerals Well Rested CC Eye Primer

I’ve been a long time user of this Kiehls’ Facial Fuel Eye De-Puffer but always wished it came in a tinted version. The patron saint of puffy eyes must have been listening because this miracle stick is everything I’ve always wanted. I dab it in the corners of my eyes then cover my under eye area all the way down to my cheekbone. Hello, bright eyes! Wear it alone for a casual weekend day with just mascara or layer it underneath your concealer for extra coverage.

Tarte Eyelash Curler

If you don’t have to curl your eyelashes then don’t worry about this little tool, and also I hate you. But, seriously. I’ve been curling my eyelashes since high school and this is the best wand I’ve found to date. The curler is super cushiony and the padding on the handle is divine.

Mary Kay Ultimate Mascara

No, you can’t get this at a local store but like… I’m sure you know at least 72 women that sell this stuff and it’s totally worth it. Lush, full, voluminous – I know all these words mean the same thing but this mascara does everything I’ve ever wanted a mascara to do. It’s ah-mah-zing. I get it in the blackest of black and load it on till I’m bordering on spider lashes JUST KIDDING impossible to do with this wand. Long story short, I die for this mascara. Go get 17 tubes.

The Lib Scrub in Clementine

My lips are always chapped. So gross right? A little swipe of this stuff in the morning and at night and I no longer want to rip my lips off when I wear a dark lipstick. DS tip: Use this scrub to help take off every last bit of your lipstick!

Bumble and Bumble Pret-a-Powder

I originally purchased this little bottle to create additional volume on Day 2 hair days but soon learned it’s actually a dry shampoo. SCORE. It’s advertised as “equal parts dry shampoo, style extender, and volume in a pinch” and it absolutely does every one of those things. Day 2 and 3 hair products now consist of this happy pink bottle and a quick spray of Oribe’s Dry Texturizing Spray.

Clarisonic

After about a year of exfoliating with one of those knock off versions I invested in the classic white Clarisonic brush and could. not. be. more. pleased. This is one of those tools you want to invest in. It doesn’t matter what type of skin you have, this sucker magically makes everything better. Think about all those concealers and creams you’ve used trying to get beautiful, glowing, even toned skin. I’m telling you – start with this puppy and you can toss all those jars out the window.
