Meet The Band That Inspired 'The Partridge Family'

On this day in 1970, "The Partridge Family" became a staple in homes across the country.

As many of us know, the show followed a widowed mother and her children who formed a band, made a hit record and then traveled the country in a bus. The comedy depicts the funny situations involving the children, mom, and overall life in the 70s.

Lasting four season, the show starred David Cassidy, Shirley Jones and Danny Bonaduce, to name a few. Known for hit songs like "When We're Singing'" and "C'mon Get Happy," the show was beloved by all those who watched it. And you can't forget "I Think I Love You!" Catch the video below to send you back to those good days.

The show was not only revolutionary in that it depicted a single mother, but it gave David Casidy his teen heart-throb status, cueing posters hung on every girl's wall.
