Fab or flop: Julianne Hough's flirty lace frock, Kourtney Kardashian's sheer gothic getup and more

Fab: Julianne Hough

Hough looked flirty and fabulous in this colorful lace Marchesa display. The cinched waist flatters her amazing figure and the layered skirt adds the perfect touch of femininity to the funky getup. The red clutch is an adorable addition to the look!

Flop: Kourtney Kardashian

While we normally appreciate the mix of leather and lace, Kourtney's look is a bit too Twilight-esque for our tastes. She looks more scary than edgy and the gold chain adds an unappealing gothic vibe.

Fab: Rachel Weisz

Weisz wowed in Gucci at the Toronto International Film Festival. The crepe shirt dress is elegant, casual and chic all at once with the preppy collar and cuffs and ruffled center line adding a fun tweak to an already-trendy look.

Flop: Courtney Love

We appreciate Love showing Kanye some NYFW love here, but that shirt is far more cozy than chic. She could have gone with a military coat or a more fitted army-printed piece to stick with the theme. We love the leather pants with flats, though! Also, maroon bags are so in this season.

Fab: Jessica Chastain

Kim Kardashian, take a note from Jessica Chastain: This is how you rock a jumpsuit. Chastain is effortlessly glowing in this simple yet ultra-glam one-sleeve jumpsuit. We love the flared legs and the gorgeous midnight-blue color. Good call not to accessorize too much, Chastain. The jumpsuit stands on its own!

Flop: Kylie Jenner

While we typically try to give Kylie a break from media speculation, we're not sure what she was thinking when she threw this look together. You'd have no clue that she was headed to one of the trendiest spots in NYC instead of a Duane Reade run for a quick snack before bed. Both the top and pants look like pajamas and we're not loving the black sneakers, either.

Fab: Katie Cassidy

Cassidy shows us exactly how to stay casual and trendy at the same time. The extra-long beige blazer with leather accents adds both class and edge to her graphic T-shirt. We love the throwback patch-work on the straight-leg jeans and those leather peep-toe wedges are all the rage right now. Looking fab, Katie Cassidy!

Flop: Kim Kardashian

We like the trench coat Kim sported in Soho for her hubby's NYFW presentation, but the jumpsuit is very unflattering. From the nude color to the skin-tight material, the jumpsuit looks more like an intense undergarment than a trendy getup.

Fab: Giuliana Rancic

Rancic looks ultra chic in this leather and gingham getup. She mixed a throwback vibe (around-the-waist chambray) with NYC's two favorite modern trends: black and leather. We love the lace-up heels to add extra edge. Giuliana Rancic looks like a rock star!

Flop: Christina Hendricks

This dress just doesn't do anything for Hendricks. We get that she was trying to look elegant and perhaps somewhat regal, but the silk material makes the dress appeal a bit cheap, especially with the lace top. We also advice that Hendricks swap the flats for heels and ditch the blazer.

Fab: Sarah Jessica Parker

SJP looks cute and flirty in this peasant-like long-sleeve dress. We love the two different prints throughout the dress and the center cinch makes it flatter her figure. We're also obsessed with the matching heels!

Flop: Pixie Miller

If Pixie is getting ready for Halloween a bit early, she totally nailed the costume look. Otherwise, we're frankly a bit frightened by this outfit. From bright pink blush to the rabbit-fur scarf and a silk teddy, we would honestly advise Miller to ditch everything in this outfit except the shoes, which might actually have potential.

Fab: Sam Faiers

Faiers is ready for fall in this cozy gray getup. We love the turtleneck sweater dress mixed with the gingham printed knit shell. The fringe boots add the perfect flare to an otherwise familiar look.

Flop: Bella Hadid

While Bella Hadid wins a fab on our charts almost every week, she was just off the mark with this look. We see that she was going for a mix of preppy and NYC chic, but the two-piece set doesn't do much for her and she picked the wrong print for the sneakers. Also, the bucket bag is far too elegant to accompany the rest of her accessories. We're really not loving those glasses, either.

Fab: Toni Collette

Yass Collette! We love everything about this look from the frilled neckline of the white blouse to the fitted pea-coat. We anticipate that those pointy-toe leather ankle boots will be one of the hottest trends this season!

Flop: Kim Kardashian

We really do love Kim K, but unfortunately she gets two flops this week. While we like the idea of pairing a leather skirt with a graphic T-shirt, we have to point out that it was incredibly hot out when this photo was taken. The fur coat might look edgy and sophisticated in the pic, but Kim probably looked ridiculous sporting it on one of the hottest days of the year!

Fab: Kiernan Shipka

Shipka looked so ute in a printed button-up and chic black mini skirt with leather accents. Her cross-body bucket bag perfectly complemented the cutesy look. Shipka is yet another celeb spotted in leather peep-toe ankle heels this week and we're loving them!

Flop: Bella Thorne

While Thorne normally looks extra trendy, she went a bit too far this time with caged thigh-high boots over her skinny jeans. If she wore the boots with a dress or skirt we'd probably call it a fab, but we don't foresee this look becoming a new fall trend.

Stars from all around the country flocked to NYC to sport the biggest trends in the front rows of the hottest shows for New York Fashion Week. This week was all about style, and stars certainly brought their A-game. From pre-runway red carpets to sneaking in a moment at the shops in between shows, the streets of NYC were studded with celebs and - more importantly - celebrity outfits.

The best look of NYFW awards go to Julianne Hough in a fun, flirty and gorgeous Marchesa lace dress and Rachel Weisz in a preppy-chic Gucci frock that screamed NYC style. While Hough brought the thunder with bold, bright colors and a funky upper-body print, Weisz sizzled in silk with her black and white crepe shirt dress.

With every fab NYFW look, though, comes a celeb who just missed the mark, resulting in a flop for the evening. The Kardashians and Jenners took home the majority of flops this week. From Kourtney Kardashian's gothic-like sheer lace dress to Kylie Jenner's pajama getup and Kim Kardashian's skin-tight nude jumpsuit, we couldn't help but wonder what the family of TV personalities, generally known for their iconic style, were thinking this week.
