The design duo behind Public School, Maxwell Osbourne and Dao-Yi Chow, are truly two of the coolest guys in the fashion industry. As both grew up in New York City, their designs are rooted in New York and it's culture. We had the chance to speak with them backstage during Fashion Week about their inspirations and the woman they design for.

On New York:
"I don't think you could separate us from New York, ever. We've just found New York to be the ideal representative of the entire globe. Having that sense of freedom to be able to say whatever you want and do whatever you want is always going to come back in our work."

On the woman they design for:
"She's a traveler, she's focused. She's a connector, she sits in different circles, connecting different worlds around her. She's a little bit liberated, and she takes risks, but ultimately it's about the idea of sophisticated ease for the Public School girl."

On who they would love to dress:
"There are a ton. Zoe Kravitz is at the top of the list, and even maybe her mom -- together! That would be really badass."
