Badgley Mischka Spring 2016 is elegance at its best

Updated

Badgley Mischka presented its spring collection Tuesday morning, and inspired by the 1950s in Buenos Aires, the looks had just that right vibrancy and elegance we've come to know and expect from the red carpet favorite. Designers Mark Badgley and James Mischka featured tailored tweeds, soft painted fabrics and floral appliques across jackets, shorts, dresses and of course, gowns.

It was lightweight, flowy, a breath of fresh air -- everything you hope a spring collection will be, but to us, the most stand-out elements were the details. The detailed and embellished shoulders on two dresses (one black, and one creamy neutral) and the cascading fringe that draped down the back of that black dress are what made the collection extra swoon-worthy.

Helen Mirren was among the celebrities sitting front row, and there were a few looks we would absolutely love to see her wear -- top of the list being that stunning strapless gown with a metallic floral print on it.
