Tech billionaire Elon Musk broke it all down to a very simple lesson: if you want to make Mars habitable quickly, all you have to do is drop thermonuclear weapons on its poles. Musk explained this in reply to Stephen Colbert's comment that the planet is not very welcoming to humankind, during The Late Show on Wednesday.

Nuking Mars' poles would be the fast way to heat up the planet and consequentially make the ice caps melt into water, which is essential for life across the surface. This would allow to grow plants that could contribute to create a breathable atmosphere that allows humans to live there.

Musk is an authority in the technology and science world, where he greatly contributed to the advancement of research and production with his properties such as SpaceX and Tesla Motors, ranging from space travel to electric cars and solar energy. Colbert jokingly asked the businessman wether he is a superhero or a supervillain due to his status as a billionaire that meets his will to make great things for the world.
