Youtube star accepts invite to Marine Ball after adorable viral plea

Of course, every Marine would love to show up at their annual Ball with a famous face. It's a dream! But for U.S. Marine Tanner White, this dream just became a reality.

White, an openly gay U.S. Marine, calls himself "Your favorite [HIV] positive Marine" on his Youtube page. White talks about his disease and the importance of HIV prevention — but, his latest video was a bit different.

He starts off saying, "This video is for the all-American boy, Steve Grand. Steve, you are an amazing singer. I've seen some of your blog videos and they were awesome."

Of course, the internet responded to his adorable plea. From Twitter, to Facebook, to Instagram, social media banned together to share White's message in hopes of getting the attention of singer/songwriter Steve Grand.



Lucky for White, the internet is a powerful place! Grand recently responded to the video, saying he would be honored to go to the Marine Ball with White.
