Jimmy 'Superfly' Snuka Charged in Girlfriend's 1983 Death

Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka, a WWE Hall of Fame legend, was arrested on Tuesday morning in New Jersey, and the 72-year-old is being charged with the third-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter of his former girlfriend, Nancy Argentino.

Argentino died in 1983, and Snuka was never charged for her death at the time, and he went on to wrestle in the WWE and AWA in the 90s.

The Morning Call reported that records show that Snuka had been at a WWF taping on May 10, 1983 at the Allentown Fairgrounds, and when he returned to his motel room, he found Argentina "gasping for air and oozing yellow fluid from her mouth and nose."

She was pronounced dead the next day, and an autopsy showed that she died of "traumatic brain injuries and she suffered more than two dozen cuts and bruises." They called this a possible sign of "mate abuse."

The situation is still under investigation.
