Leave it to today's teens to be the inspiring people we knew they could be.

17-year-old Daniela Bossi, waitress at Brother's Pizza on Route 33 in New Jersey, is an inspiration to many after she used her tips to pick up the bill for a man who is fighting brain cancer.

Rick Lewallen has been fighting brain cancer since April, he told NJ.com, and the treatment hasn't left him many opportunities for him and his wife, Annette, to enjoy a night out together.

According to her Facebook page, Bossi has been working at Brother's Pizza for approximately a month and when she saw Lewallen, she knew she had to do something. She had known the couple through her younger sister, and knew he was fighting cancer, so she decided to pay it forward.

It's safe to say the couple was in shock by Bossi kind act. Annette Lewallen told NJ.com that she was in tears from the amazing gesture. "It was a vote for humanity. I've finally stopped crying about it."

Daniela Bossi's story went viral, from the local newspaper to national recognition from major publications like Cosmopolitan.
