News: Reporter and cameraman killed on air; suspect dies in hospital

  • A former TV news reporter in Virginia fatally shot a fellow local TV reporter and a cameraman during a live broadcast in Virginia. Video footage shows the suspect holding a gun in one hand while he stood only a few feet away from the reporter and cameraman. The suspect has since died in the hospital as a result of life-threatening injuries.

Entertainment: Ben Affleck has officially ditched his wedding ring in L.A.

  • Ben Affleck had still been wearing his wedding ring in the weeks after he and his ex Jennifer Garner announced their divorce, but the star was seen out and about in L.A. on Tuesday sans wedding ring.

Tech: Americans are rushing to buy flamethrowers before they become illegal

  • Americans are buying flamethrowers for their personal use from anywhere between $900 and $1,599, but the devices have officially been banned by the Inhumane Weapons Convention. While states like California require a permit for the device, other states like Maryland ban them completely. Soon, though, they could completely become illegal on all levels.

Sports: Umenyiora signs 1-day contract to retire as a New York Giant

  • The New York Giants' two-time Pro Bowl defensive end Osi Umenyiora is retiring from the team. He helped the Giants win two Super Bowls, and today he signed a one-day contract, announcing his retirement after 12 NFL seasons.
