News: Wall Street sees big rebound after 'Black Monday'

  • The market bounced back this morning after seeing a huge plummet yesterday. Three major Wall Street indexes were up more than 2 percent, and tech companies and banks are leading the way with their stocks.

Entertainment: Julianne Moore fights to remove the Confederate name off of her old high school

  • Oscar winning actress Julianne Moore has joined a fight to change the name of her old high school, which honors Confederate Gen. J.E.B. Stuart. Moore wrote in a Change.org petition, asking that the county school board in Fairfax, Virginia rename the high school after Thurgood Marshall, the Supreme Court's first African-American justice.
Tech: Obama calls out fossil fuel interests for fighting solar
  • On Monday, President Barack Obama on Monday harshly spoke about fossil fuel interests and other people who criticized his energy policies. He accused them of trying to restrict consumers from accessing solar, wind and other renewable sources in order to protect the status quo.

Sports: FSU's Dalvin Cook found not guilty of battery

  • Dalvin Cook, a running back for Florida State, was accused of punching a woman outside of a bar in Tallahassee in June, and he was suspended indefinitely by the team. Jury ruled on Monday that he is not guilty of the misdemeanor battery charges.
