Australian Cafe's 'Epic' Milkshakes Cause a Social Media Stir

Food porn obsessives flocked to Australian cafes and diners this summer for some of the most epic milkshake creations on the planet. The Australian milkshake epidemic has some people questioning whether people actually enjoy the outrageously decorated milkshakes or if they're just "doing it for the Insta."

As milkshake makers came up with the Nutella doughnut-topped shake, the mason jar desserts, and other elaborate milkshake concoctions, people lined up around the block just to snap a pic of their trendy refreshments.

Food blogger Alana Dimou was especially critical of this summer's milkshake trend. On a post about extreme milkshakes, she commented:

"Everyone's holding one of these extreme milkshakes, gnashing at food for the sake of social media, exchanging calories for notifications."

However, seeing that the trend wasn't going away anytime soon, Dimou decided to join in and have a some extreme fun with extreme milkshakes. She poked fun at the trend by creating her own outrageous shakes that seriously top anything we've ever seen. Let's just hope nobody takes Dimou's hilarious parody shakes too seriously and decides to replicate them. Take a look at some of her crazy concoctions.
